GRANGE School students have earned lavish praise for their outstanding production of Return to the Forbidden Planet.
The senior school’s spring production combined colourful characters and classic rock and roll and pop songs from the 1950s and 1960s.
“Before the show even began you knew it was going to be quite an experience with the remarkable set – or rather the USS Albatross – ready for its flight into space,” said Grange history teacher David Jones.
“It was a superb platform for the acting and singing talents of the company, and all the principals gave memorable performances.
“They were supported by a tremendously hard-working and talented crew, and Mr Millinchip’s band provided outstanding backing."
Mr Jones also praised the “technical wizardry” of Mr Edwards and the lighting skills of Mr Bamber, “the superb contributions of everyone backstage, and the sheer inspiration and expertise of Mrs Bloor’s direction.”
“It was stellar stuff in every way – totally cosmic!” he said.
