WINCHAM Parish Council has invited a representative of the owners of a derelict pub to discuss plans for the site.

Countrywide Investments is seeking planning approval to demolish the derelict Black Greyhound at Wincham and replace it with 17 homes.

Wincham Parish Council is to discuss the housing scheme at its meeting on Wednesday, April 29, at Witton Albion Football Club, at 7.30pm.

The meeting will be preceded by a 30-minute public participation period, during which residents will be able to have their say on the housing plans.

Council chairman Annie Makepeace has been contacted by a representative of the owners, who has been invited to discuss the housing scheme at the meeting, which follows the public participation period.
