VOLUNTEERS are needed to take on two vital roles with a Northwich fundraising group.

Marie Curie is looking for a treasurer and secretary for its group, which meets monthly at the Penny Black pub.

A treasurer will account for all money raised by the group, report on financial progress to the rest of the group and the local office and join in with fundraising activities.

A secretary will attend meetings to take minutes, receive all correspondence, write letters of request and thanks and join in fundraising activities.

Laura Tomlinson, community fundraiser for the charity, said: "We are looking for individuals who are organised with great communication skills to join our fantastic fundraising group covering the Northwich area.

"The fundraising group raise vital funds to allow Marie Curie to be here for people living with any terminal illness, and their families.

"We offer expert care, guidance and support to help people make the most of their time.

"Since they were formed just over three years ago the local group has raised over £32,000.

"We really need your help so that we continue to raise these vital funds, so if you think you’ve got a couple of hours a month that you’d be able to give to a worthwhile cause please get in touch.”
