CASTLEFORD Tigers visit Warrington Wolves today, kick off 2.45pm, in the second of this weekend’s Easter fixtures.

The Mend-A-Hose Jungle outfit fell 26-12 at home to league leaders Leeds Rhinos first on Friday lunchtime, knowing Wolves were already on their recovery period after a clash with Widnes Vikings the night before.

Tigers had strung back-to-back wins together and climbed into the top eight before the visit of Leeds.

Daryl Powell’s side beat Hull FC 20-14 at the Jungle to follow up a 30-16 home success against Salford Red Devils seven days earlier.

They are yet to win away from home, and suffered a nilling to Huddersfield Giants on their last away outing in round four.

The Challenge Cup finalists lost their star man at the end of last season, with Man of Steel winner Daryl Clark named in the 19-man Wolves squad preparing to line up against them.

Tigers also lost Jamie Ellis and Craig Huby to the Giants and Weller Hauraki to Salford.

But Powell was busy rebuilding his squad, with Melbourne Storm pair Junior Moors and Ben Roberts two of those to have arrived.

However, it is Justin Carney who has been their stand-out player so far this season, topping the Super League try-scoring charts with nine prior to the start of the Easter action.

The winger is also Tigers’ top metre-maker with 803.
