BESTSELLING author Martina Cole is to visit Glasgow to talk about her latest novel.

Cole, one of the UK's leading fiction writers, is taking part in a series of lunchtime talks at the Royal Concert Hall.

She will discuss her new novel Close, which won the Crime Thriller of the Year accolade at the 2006 British Book Awards.

The line-up for Conversation Pieces launches on Tuesday, April 24, at 1pm. Shirley McKie's father Iain McKie and Scottish commentator, politician and writer Michael Russell will discuss their recent book about fingerprint evidence being used to wrongly convict her of perjury, Shirley McKie: The Price of Innocence.
