BRITISH Transport Police is to increase the numbers of officers on
trains in Scotland. The aim is to improve the safety ofpassengers and
staff. Chief Inspector John Donoghue, responsible for the plan, said
on-train policing was also being extendedto cover destinations
countrywide, including Oban, Fort William, Aberdeen, Inverness, and
Stranraer.
