BRITAIN is to resume high-level contact with the Palestine Liberation

Organisation from today, the Foreign Office said last night.

Faisal Husseini, head of the Palestine negotiations team in the Middle

East peace process, will take two leading PLO men to meet Douglas Hogg,

Minister of State at the Foreign Office.

The move has angered pro-Israeli MPs at Westminster. The last

ministerial contact with the PLO was early in 1990.
