PARIS: Israel and Arab states, talking to each other for the first
time about economic development, agreed on a US programme to train
Palestinians for interim self-rule in Israeli-occupied territories.
''The decision was unanimous and even Israel did not reject it in the
end,'' Palestinian delegate Samir Huleileh told reporters at the end of
the two-day Paris conference.
