BRITISH weightlifting chiefs were left relieved yesterday after

Olympic lifters Andrew Davies and Andrew Saxton revealed they would not

be seeking compensation from them over their Olympic drugs ordeal.

The news came as British Olympic chiefs demanded that confusion over

the status of clenbuterol -- the drug at the centre of the controversy

-- should be quickly cleared up by their international counterparts.

The lifters were sent home from Barcelona in July for failing drugs

tests but were cleared by the British Amateur Weightlifters' Association

(BAWLA) last weekend.
