A MANHUNT was launched in the Highlands yesterday after a nightclub
manageress was robbed at gunpoint.
Road blocks were set up on all roads out of Inverness just after
10.15am.
Manageress Dawn MacNiven was counting the takings in her office in Mr
G's nightclub, Castle Street, Inverness, when two men dressed as chefs,
wearing long white coats and white hats, entered the club by a back
door.
They held a gun to her head and demanded money. A Saturday night's
takings is around #10,000. Police are looking for two men, the first
aged between 25 and 35, 6ft and slim; the second man, in his early 30s,
5ft 6ins and heavily built.
