It started in 1962 with pieces of cloth, wood, plaster, and metal. Its
puppet cast could handle Faust by 1986. Now Glaswegian Paul Kingsley, a
retired musician, intends to donate his magnificent creation to the
Scottish Theatre Archive for display next year. The detail is so fine
that the music stands in the pit have working lights attached.
