MADRID: Spanish doctors are to perform the second part of a series of

operations to restore a man's sex life 15 years after he lost his penis.

A team of Swiss and Spanish specialists will attempt to restore sexual

sensitivity to a new organ the man was given in the first part of the

revolutionary surgery two years ago. The 39-year-old patient, whose

penis had to be amputated because of cancer when he was 24, received a

transplant using tissue from his forearm. Doctors say he is now ready

for the complicated 12-hour attempt to give him back full use of his

manhood.
