POINT TAKEN: Prince Harry arrived in Australia yesterday and sampled the Aussie wildlife. The 19-year-old, with a reputation for partying, plans to work as a jackeroo, rounding up cattle and sheep. But, at the start of a gap year, Harry posed for pictures at Sydney's Taronga zoo. Politicians complaining at the cost of the prince's security while in Australia had threatened a prickly reception. However, in the event, it was a an echidna, named Spike, who gave him the needle. Harry grimaced and yelped: ''It's pretty feisty.''

And two-legged feisty creatures, sisters Brooke and Jessica Brims, aged 17 and 15, gave him their telephone number.
