DUNDEE UNITED have agreed to sign Dunfermline's Noel Hunt for next season but the clubs have still to reach a compensation package. Because Hunt is still six months shy of his 24th birthday, Dunfermline are due a fee.

"Noel has developed as a player and, although he may not be a prolific scorer, he creates a lot of chances, " said United manager Craig Brewster. "Most of Mark Burchill's goals for Dunfermline last season came when they were together and I can see the same happening when we get him alongside Lee [Miller]. Jim McIntyre has been mentioned [in exchange] because Dunfermline have been interested for a while."
