MID-TIER Scottish law firm Morton Fraser has appointed chartered accountant Sandy Macrae as finance director. He joins on Monday from John Menzies, where he was group financial controller. Macrae, 46, is a former finance director of both Bett Brothers, bought out by housebuilders Gladedale in 2003, and controlled drugs producer Meconic, which was acquired by Johnson Matthey in 2001. Macrae later worked on a consultancy basis with ProStrakan Group before the group's f lotation in 2005. Former Price Waterhouse trainee Macrae's career has also included spells at Scottish & Newcastle and Inveresk.
