Signs are to go up near the play area at Linnards Lane
SIGNS aimed at deterring people from walking their dogs in a children’s play area are due to be installed in Wincham.
The signs are to be located on lampposts at the Linnards Lane playing field near the play area, and will state that dogs are not allowed on the play area.
The signs are being installed in response to residents’ concerns about dog fouling.
Parish council chairman Annie Makepeace said it was important that children using the play area did not have to worry about getting dog mess on their hands.
