FIRST team coach Richard Agar is confident Ben Evans and the rest of Warrington’s injured troops are in the best hands possible.

Evans is set to spend four months on the sidelines after rupturing a hamstring against St Helens last week, while twin brother Rhys recently needed three operations on a shoulder injury.

They join Simon Grix as long-term absentees, while Richie Myler is also not said to be in contention for a spot in the 19-man squad this week.

Evans was sent to London on Thursday night for specialist surgery, and Agar says working with Wolves’ head physiotherapist Ben Sterling gives the prop the best chance of recovery.

“We’ve lost Ben Evans for a considerable amount of time,” he said. “Unfortunately he’s ruptured his hamstring.

“He’s had it all reattached and some major surgery. That’s going to keep him out approximately four months.

“That’s a tough one for Ben. Both Evans boys are obviously out with sizeable injuries.

“But he’s got the best care and our department here will make sure he gets on the field and has a good a recovery as possible.

“Every club in the game will give the bets care afforded to them.

“On behalf of our team we have here – headed up by Ben Sterling – I know Ben gives everybody the best chance to get back and gives them the best possible care.”

However Agar is hopeful Wolves are close to seeing several faces return.

"We’ve still got to get some clearances on some guys," he added. "Anthony England is not too far away, Joel Monaghan and Gary Wheeler. Ben Harrison is not too far away as well.

"We’re hopeful the guys are going to get through the necessary checks and get the right amount of training."
