ROYAL roles for Davenham Carnival will be chosen on Sunday, March 22.
Categories to be selected are the carnival queen, for girls aged 11 and above, fairy queen, for girls in Years Five and Six, princess, for Years Three and Four, and rosebud, for Years One and Two.
The Carnival committee is also looking for boys to act as crown, sceptre and orb bearers.
The selection event will take place at the Royal British Legion, in Firth Fields, from 1.30pm. Admission is £1 per adult and free for children. The bar will be open during the selection event.
The carnival itself takes place on Saturday, June 20.
There will be bands, rides, stalls and a packed arena as well as the usual parade of royalty, retinues and visiting queens.
