SPORTING memories from 1940s schooldays are sure to be evoked by this picture.
It shows the football team from the former Danebridge CE School, now the location of Danebridge Medical Centre, in 1948.
It was brought in by Roy Senior, from Castle.
He said: "We had a proper leather T-ball, called that because the panels were in the shape of a T.
"I was centre half and left half mostly.
"I didn't carry on playing football when I left school – other things come into play like learning a trade."
Roy could name all of the faces on the photo.
Pictured back row, from left, are L Wilkinson, G Brown, G Duncalf, teacher Mr Curbishley, C Pemberton, Lyons, Teacher Mr Johnson, P Jones, Robinson and D Forster.
Front row, from left, are K Metcalf, S Dutton, captain F Fallows, F Hatton and Roy Senior himself.
