THE inaugural event to bring together the unsung heroes at the heart of Northwich proved a great success.
The Hearts of Northwich Community Festival took place at St Helen's Church on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15.
It included a day for small charities and community organisations to showcase what they do, a concert by the Caernarfon Male Voice Choir and a Songs of Praise event with Bostock Band.
Gordon Atkinson, one of the organisers, said: "Everything went really really well.
"I can't say anything could have gone better."
He said the charity showcase was particularly successful.
"We had no means of counting but people came in their hundreds rather than in their tens," he said.
"It was really encouraging because not only were the charities showing what they do to the public, they were also networking with each other."
