RICHARD Agar has explained the areas Warrington Wolves focused on this week ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Hull FC.

“Our effort in defence at the moment is really good, we’re making some mistakes but we’re covering them up,” he said.

“We’re working really hard at covering each others’ backs but still think there are some elements of our contact and our system that we feel we can improve on quite substantially.

“In attack we feel it’s not quite as fluid. We can see some areas we’re having some successes and reasonable success but we’d like to convert those into tries.

“That’ll come, we’re only two friendlies and one game in at this moment in time. We had a really tough first 25 minutes last week and this week is a short turnaround.

“We’re probably a session or two less this week than we’ve had available to spend on the field.”

Agar also says Wolves will leave nothing to chance when journeying across the M62.

“We’re going to go a little bit earlier, not the day before, set off about lunchtime and get over to Hull for about 4pm,” he added.

“Check into a hotel, get some massages, have some food and strapping done and just avoid any potential headaches we might encounter on the M62 on a Friday afternoon.

“As Hull coach I’ve had the trip to Lancashire many times, and we’ve done it all ways. There’s no excuse for rushing about and being late to a game in our position.”
