GAMES of walking football, where sprinting, running, jogging and slide tackling are banned, have started in Northwich.
Age UK Cheshire is holding weekly sessions of the sport at Moss Farm Leisure Complex.
Walking football is a slower paced version of the game aimed at people looking to ease themselves back into exercise.
The rules are the same as normal five-a-side football, apart from the running ban, and the game is still competitive.
Each hour-long session includes a warm-up, skill practice and a walking football game.
It takes place from 11am to noon ever Wednesday.
