A SHOW home in Northwich has been wrapped with a big red bow to launch a Christmas partnership between a house builder and a food charity.

David Wilson Homes has put the ribbon and a giant gift tag on its show home in Winnington, which will act as a drop-off point for the community to donate to Mid Cheshire Foodbank.

The Christmas campaign encourages people to donate food items along with deodorant, shampoo and personal products, which will be collected for local people in need.

Steve Jackson, sales director at Winnington Village said: “We’re encouraging people to get involved in the Christmas campaign and buy a few extra food items in their weekly shop to make a huge difference to those less fortunate.

“The team at David Wilson Homes are completely behind the campaign and hope the local community will also get involved, especially as everything that is donated will stay in the region to help those who need it most.”

A shopping list of items is available at midcheshire.foodbank.org.uk and includes items like pre-cooked rice, noodles, tinned goods, coffee and fruit juice.
