A DRIVER is fighting for his life after a collision with a heavy goods vehicle on the A533 bypass near Winsford.
Emergency services were called to the A533, between Northwich and Winsford, near to Jack Lane, around 3pm on Monday, December 15.
Firefighters who attended the scene freed a male casualty from the hatchback car, which had collided with a heavy goods vehicle.
The A533 between Road One Roundabout and Peckmill Roundabout has been closed and is not expected to open for up to five hours.
Motorists are warned to avoid the area until it is re-opened.
