A CANDLELIT vigil was held in mid Cheshire to call for an end to violence towards women.
Phoenix Domestic Abuse and Support Services, formerly Vale Royal Women's Aid, held the vigil on International Human Rights Day.
Members of the public, staff, board members and councillors joined the vigil at Wyvern House, in Winsford.
It followed 16 days of activism against gender violence.
Phoenix operates a helpline and drop-in by appointment for anyone needing advice about domestic abuse issues.
