PRECIOUS habitat in Little Budworth will be restored and improved thanks to a £100,000 windfall.

Natural England has awarded the cash to Cheshire West and Chester Council for a project to improve lowland heath habitat at Little Budworth Common, designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Two events have been planned to launch the project, which take place from 10am to 3pm on Wednesday, November 26, and on Saturday, November 29.

Council staff, Friends of Little Budworth Common, representatives of Cheshire Wildlife Trust and representatives of Natural England will be at these information sessions, where there will be guided walks of the site and project areas.

Each session will start at the car park of Little Budworth Common, in Coach Road.
