MID Cheshire Musical Theatre Company starts rehearsals on Wednesday, November 26, for its production of the Cole Porter classic, Anything Goes, which it is staging from April 1 to 4.
Set on the SS Americas on a voyage from New York to London, Anything Goes is a hilarious musical farce.
There is a lot of dancing, including tap dancing, and very well-known musical numbers including I get a kick out of you, You’re the Top, Friendship, It’s de-lovely, Blow Gabriel Blow and Anything Goes.
A large cast of singers and dancers of all ages, 16 plus, is needed, in particular ‘youngish’ men, and rehearsals are most Wednesdays from 7.30pm to 10pm at the (former) Wallerscote Primary School, Northwich Road, Weaverham.
Open auditions for the principal roles take place on Sunday December 14 at 2.30pm at the school.
Full details of characters and audition pieces and audition rules will be posted very soon on the company website, mcmtc.co.uk, its Facebook page, Mid Cheshire Musical Theatre Company, or call the show’s co-ordinator on 76113.
