A TREE of lights will help Northwich residents remember their loved ones at Christmas.
The ceremony takes place at Witton Cemetery, in Church Road, on December 6 and residents are invited to dedicate a star that will be hung on a holly tree inside the cemetery gates throughout the festive season.
Stars can be picked up and returned to Northwich Town Council's offices, at 78 Church Road, Northwich Information Centre, in The Arcade, Snipets Hairdressers, at 89 Station Rd, Co Op Funeral Care, in Northwich, or Northwich Police Station.
The closing date for return of the stars is December 3.
Stars and lights will remain on the tree until Twelfth Night.
Following the Tree of Lights ceremony, at 6pm, there will be a Christmas concert at St Helens Church where refreshments will also be served.
There is no charge for the stars but any donations will go to the town mayor's charity.
