CHAIRMAN Toby Macormac insists Warrington Town must utilise their games in hand.
The FA Cup run, which has seen the Yellows play eight times, has caused a backlog in league fixtures.
Town have played six games fewer than Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North leaders Darlington 1883, although sit 25 points behind in 19th.
“Games in hand can work two ways,” said Macormac. “We hope it’ll mean the squad is much more match-sharp from playing Saturday/Tuesday.
“In previous seasons Curzon Ashton were miles behind in games in hand after a good run in the FA Cup and the Trophy, but got promoted.
“Skelmersdale got to the fourth round of the FA Trophy and were a long way behind in the season they got promoted.”
