SOME of Northwich's picture perfect locations have been captured in a calendar that has the support of the whole town.

Visual Arts Cheshire (VAC), based in Brunner Court, near the library, has once again produced the Northwich calendar with the support of DAN Community Ltd.

Photographers from the area were invited by VAC to submit photos of Northwich and the surrounding villages.

VAC received a total of 86 images, depicting Northwich through the seasons, with Nick Hughes, from DAN, being asked to make the final selection.

Many of the town's shops who sponsored VAC’s summer Art Trail also offered to sponsor a month on the calendar, promoting their businesses and Northwich.

Alan Carr, chairman of Visual Arts Cheshire, told the Guardian he hoped the calendar would promote the town around the globe.

"Last year’s calendar was sent all over the world, including Canada, North America, Brazil, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, India and Singapore," he said.

"The 2014 calendar was a hard act to follow but the new photographs are of an equally high standard and there has also been a change of format for 2015, allowing space for notes to be written against each date.

"This year, it is hoped it is used to promote Northwich in even more countries around the globe. VAC would love to know where your calendar is travelling to. We would love to know when you purchase them or by emailing visualartscheshire@gmail.com."

The calendar was officially launched on Friday, October 17 at Weaver Hall Museum.

Committee members of Visual Arts Cheshire joined with Nick Hughes from DAN and the contributing photographers for a group photograph to celebrate the occasion.

The following places have the calendars on sale at £5 each: Northwich library (DAN office), Weaver Hall Museum, Macouti, Crafty Stitches, Meadows Estates & Temples estate agents.

Online orders can be placed via the DAN website at danarts.co.uk
