WAITROSE store manager Peter Gibbs is to talk about the company’s first year in Northwich at a Rotary club meeting on Monday, November 3.

The store employs more than 140 people, and opened in November 2013 as the first phase of the redevelopment of Hayhurst Quay.

Mr Gibbs is the manager of store, and will be speaking at the Northwich Rotary Special Speaker meeting at Winnington Park Recreation Club.

Before the buffet lunch David Roberts will be talking about the Northwich Neighbourhood Plan, and will be encouraging everyone to complete a survey questionnaire which will be supplied on every table.

Mr Gibbs will be speaking after lunch and before the main speakers.

Residents will be able to have their say at the meeting on the £80 million development at Barons Quay in Northwich.

Representatives from Balfour Beatty and Cheshire West and Chester Council will address the meeting, which will include a period for questions.

Doors open at 11.45am, and club president Garnet Ronander will open the meeting at 12.30pm, followed by lunch.

There will be a £7.50 charge to cover the cost of the buffet luncheon, payable on entry, and reservations are being accepted.

The club has to provide the number of those attending to the caterers on the Friday before the event.
