RHYS Evans is backing Wolves’ home-grown talents to continue the club’s progress next season, including twin brother Ben.

The winger was man of the match in Wolves’ 2012 under 19s Grand Final success and has seen many of those teammates make their first-team bow this year.

“I’m very happy,” he said. “It’s been a bit of a transition year at the club and a lot of the lads my age have come through.

“We’ve played a lot more games than we expected, so hopefully we’ll kick on as a squad next year and go one better in both competitions.

“That’s what every club in Super League is built on, having youngsters coming into the first team.”

He also expects brother Ben to hit top form next season after an ankle injury ended his debut campaign.

The 21-year-old added: “He was killing it before he got injured, so hopefully he can kick on in pre-season and get a starting position next year.”

Evans will spend now enjoy some time away from the game duringin the off-season, before welcoming some new additions to the squad.

“I’ll go away and have a holiday,” he explained. “Go back to Wales to see the family with my brother , just get out of the rugby environment for a bit and enjoy my time off.

“We’ve got a couple of additions coming in next year who will obviously boost the squad, but the lads that are leaving will be remembered in the culture at Warrington for many years to come.”
