A WOODLAND world will teach toddlers about arts, crafts and the great outdoors following a successful pilot scheme.

The Nature Tots Forest School club for two to five year olds will begin again at Marbury Country Park on September 9.

Robyn Moseley, Forest School practitioner with Cheshire Wildlife Trust, said: “We’ve had great success with our Forest Schools for older children in other parts of the region, and our first pilot sessions for Nature Tots here in Northwich during the spring.

"Marbury Country Park offers the ideal safe and secure environment for the groups, and also boasts a wonderful array of wildlife which always sits at the heart of any Forest School."

Sessions are at 10.30am and 1pm each Tuesday for children aged between two and five, who must be accompanied by an adult.

They include hands-on activities and fun games that help youngsters interact with the sights, sounds, smells and textures within the environment around them.

The initial ‘taster’ is free, with each session then £3.50 per week.
