THE first year of a new health organisation will be discussed at a public meeting on Wednesday, September 3.

NHS Vale Royal Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) holds its first annual meeting from 1pm to 4pm at Winnington Park Recreation Club.

The CCG represents 12 GP practices across Winsford, Northwich and surrounding rural areas and is responsible for organising the delivery of NHS services for around 102,000 people with a budget of £122 million.

Dr Jonathan Griffiths, chairman of NHS Vale Royal CCG, said: “We would like to extend a warm welcome to local people to come along to our first annual meeting.

“The day is an opportunity to reflect on the successes achieved by the CCG within its first year and also look forward at our plans for the future.

“Members of the public are invited to come along and find out more about local healthcare services and how they can get involved to help shape these services.”

The meeting starts with a light lunch and marketplace session to showcase the CCG's work, a presentation of the annual report and accounts and the Connecting Care Strategy, giving members of the public chance to find out what the strategy means for them.
