NUMEROUS students at Mid Cheshire College achieved A* and A grades in the GCSEs, allowing them to progress to their chosen education path or profession.

“Results day is always a very exciting time as our students have worked incredibly hard, often on subjects they have struggled with in the past,” said college principal Richard Hollywood.

“Our staff work tirelessly with the students to ensure they gain the results they are so eager to achieve.

“The acquisition of GCSE English and maths for a young person is becoming more and more important, and we have seen an increase in the number of our students retaking their GCSEs after leaving school.”

Rebecca Mellor, who gained an A* in English language, is to go on to Liverpool University to study midwifery, and Laura Waring, who studied maths, is to go on to study nursing.

Emily Yue achieved an A in English language, and is to study finance and accountancy at Durham University.
