HOUSING proposals for Davenham and Kingsmead have been pulled from a planning agenda in the light of new figures.

Three planning applications for the villages were expected to be approved at Cheshire West and Chester Council's strategic planning committee meeting in Winsford tomorrow, Thursday.

These were for 113 homes at Hill Top Farm, in Kingsmead, 53 homes at Jack Lane, in Davenham, and 70 homes for Fountain Lane, in Davenham.

But the plans, along with an application for 30 houses in Nether Peover, have been withdrawn because the council has met its benchmark five year housing supply.

Clr Helen Weltman, ward councillor for Davenham and Moulton, said: "The council has its five year housing supply – 5.64 years to be exact – but the reports and information about these plans were written before we knew we could say we have got the housing land supply.

"They need to be looked at again in the light of having the five-year housing supply."
