BANDS have been booked and tickets are for sale but organisers of an annual event are looking for charities to share their bounty.

The 21st Northwich Beer Festival takes place at Winnington Park Recreation Club, in Park Road, on September 19 and 20.

Freeway are performing on the first evening and The Variants on the second and organisers are busy selecting the beers for the weekend.

The festival, organised by The Rotary Club of Northwich and the Rotary Club of Northwich Vale Royal, gives mid Cheshire charities and good causes the chance to benefit from the event by staging a raffle or a Tombola on one of the evenings.

Last year Homestart, Cheshire Carers, St John Ambulance, the RNLI and VIctoria Road PTA were among the beneficiaries.

Val Godfrey, from the organising committee, said: "We hope that charities and local organisations, especially those who might not have been involved in the past, will get in touch with us.

“It's a brilliant opportunity to promote your charity as well as raising much needed cash for your particular good cause.”

Any charities that would like to get involved should email northwich.b.festival@gmail.com

Tickets for the event are on sale at Jack Gee Cycles, Northwich Tourist Information office, Brew2Bottle and Winnington Park Recreation Club.
