POLICE believe a court order imposed on a “prolific offender” will improve the quality of life for Northwich residents.

Christine Margaret Holleran, 51, of no fixed abode, was given a Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) by Chester Magistrates Court.

The order will last for five years, and was imposed as a result of Holleran’s continuous offending in the Northwich area.

The CRASBO runs until July 2019, and Holleran will need to behave responsibly within the restrictions of the order or face arrest.

“Christine Holleran has been a prolific offender of anti-social behaviour in the Northwich area,” said PC Nicola Sharp from Cheshire Police’s Western Partnership Unit.

“The court order will prevent this woman from continuing her offending behaviour, and will have a positive impact on the quality of life for the residents of Northwich.

“The police and the council will not tolerate anyone causing harassment, alarm or distress that affects the residents of Northwich, and the Anti-Social Behaviour Unit will take positive action against any individual who persistently acts in this manner.”

Insp Paul Loughlin from Northwich Neighbourhood Policing Unit said the conditions imposed on Holleran were strict and very specific.

“Her behaviour, has, for a long time, been upsetting and of deep concern to the Northwich community,” he said.

“The CRASBO issued against Holleran should be seen as a clear indication of what will happen if adults fail to behave responsibly and cause harm to the community due to their inconsiderate behaviour.

“The community team are telling us they want our help in preventing adult bad behaviour.

“The Northwich team is committed to supporting the community, and will use the full range of powers at our disposal against anyone who persistently acts in an anti-social manner.”

Under the CRASBO conditions Holleran must not act or incite others to act in an anti-social manner, threaten any person or property or use or encourage others to use foul, abusive, insulting and offensive, threatening or intimidating language or behaviour in any public place.

She must not be drunk in public, enter an exclusion zone, St Helens Church and its grounds in Church Road, Northwich, Greenall Avenue, Northwich and Station Road, Northwich, and must not contact or approach named individuals.
