TWO brothers from Northwich are hoping to make a splash when they host a charity water fight in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.

Chris and Andy Irvine, who run their own swimming tuition company, decided to put on the event to give something back to St Luke’s Hospice, which has supported their Mum in her battle against cancer.

Chris said: “Me and my brother are both swimming teachers so a water fight is a logical progression for a charity event for us, plus the fact that kids and adults alike love throwing water balloons at each other!

He added: “We've seen first hand the great work St Luke's do so we're keen to give something back, and they have supported my Mum significantly through the past year.

“Our main sponsor is Fruity Floats, a premium swim aid company based in Cheshire who have donated floats to be given away on the day! There is also an appearance from BTB Fitness Academy, a gym in Winsford.”

The water fight will be held at Sir John Deane's College field at 2pm on Saturday, August 16. The entry fee is £2 and everyone is welcome, with 100% of the proceeds going to St Luke’s.

Guests are invited to bring any water pistols they have to ensure there are enough to go around.
