FAMILIES are being encouraged to explore a country estate chosen as the setting for Disney’s next live-action movie.

Arley Hall is holding a family welcome day on Sunday, July 20, giving children chance to discover the magic of the home and gardens where Disney filmed Evermoor earlier this year.

The playground has been revamped for the occasion as has the picnic area.

“Arley is a great place for children to explore and burn off some energy,” said general manager Steve Hamilton.

“We are looking to provide more opportunities and things for children to do when they visit so that they get as much out of the experience as the grown-ups.”

Toddlers will be able to play in a sandpit while older children will be entertained in the adventure play zone.

There will be free face painting and a living willow dome that youngsters can use as a den.

For parents who want to see Arley’s award-winning gardens there is also a garden trail to keep the kids occupied.

They can pick up a set of clues that will lead them through the magical walled gardens to the vegetable patches and tea cottage, which looks like a fairytale house.

The family welcome day takes place between 10am and 5pm.

Admission is free for children on the day and £7.50 for adults.

Dogs are also welcome.
