A MUCH-anticipated Moulton event takes place on Saturday, July 12.

Moulton Crow Fair will start at 1pm on the playing field, in Main Road, followed by live music in the evening and a firework display at 10pm.

This year’s event promises a record number of stalls, alongside fairground rides, body zorbing, donkey rides, a static car and motorbike display and refreshments.

Arena attractions include Chester Roman Legion and Vale Royal Birds of Prey.

This is as well as the traditional crow dance, performed by anonymous village men, which is believed to date back to the 1920s when many of the men in the village had been laid off from the salt works.

The winner of the village’s scarecrow trail will also be announced at the fair. For more information about the trail turn to p23.

Live music starts at 6pm and the display from Nemesis Fireworks will take place at 10pm.
