BANK staff from NatWest have helped spruce up an outdoors activities centre for people in Northwich.

Members of the Cheshire and North Wales Commercial Team at NatWest showed their practical support for the Petty Pool Trust in Sandiway through a volunteer day.

Petty Pool’s activities include a college for young adults with learning disabilities with the aim of helping them into employment.

The trust also manages an outdoor activities centre which hosts residential experiences for children with learning disabilities, mainstream schools and colleges, and corporate clients.

The NatWest team spent the day improving the camping area, painting sheds, outbuildings and picnic tables, moving bark to lay paths and even building a fire-pit.

Mark Priestley, director at NatWest, said: “Having toured the centre, it became abundantly clear that they take great pride in their facilities and keeping the grounds in top class condition is a bit like painting the Forth Bridge.

“The weather wasn’t kind but there was a tremendous team spirit and determination. This truly is a great project to be supporting and chief executive Peter Evans was very appreciative of us taking time out to provide a helping hand.” Mark is also planning to do a sponsored fire walk in aid of Petty Pool.
