A KNUTSFORD poet and songwriter is brightening up the centre of Northwich as part of the town’s literature festival.

Charlotte Peters Rock has written and installed two free exhibitions, ‘Parrots n People n Poetry’ and ‘Park to Park to Park’, to be enjoyed by the passing public until July 13.

The exhibitions consist of stories, poems, songs and illustrations around different theses, including animals, birds, world history, wars, ships and the sea, and adventure.

This year, as a commemoration of World War I, there is a full window on Market Way considering the impact of the Pals Battalions and other aspects of the war. Other installations can be found on Market Way, Weaver Square and the Covered Market.

Charlotte’s work can also be found in three Northwich parks; Vickersway Park, Witton Children’s Park, and Verdin Park.
