MUSIC from The Beatles to Mozart and Karl Jenkins to Oscar Hammerstein will be performed in a free summer concert at Hartford on Tuesday.

The concert is being staged at Hartford Methodist Church by The Bostock Singers, who will be performing a variety of music.

The group joined forces last month with music students from Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College to perform a fundraising concert at St Peter’s Church, Little Budworth.

They sang religious pieces, songs from the shows and popular music by The Beatles and Snow Patrol, and the evening raised £400 towards church running costs.

Another concert is being planned with the Sir John Deane’s students in October at the college.

The group is a 50-strong mixed voice choir that meets on Tuesday evenings at Hartford Methodist Church, where members rehearse under musical director Alison Richards, head of music at Sir John Deane’s.

The summer concert starts at 7.30pm. For more details on the choir, visit bostock-singers.co.uk.
