THE music train will be rocking on the rails on Wednesday, June 11.
North Cheshire trio Nelson Peach will play and sing on the mid Cheshire line between Chester and Plumley, before the mobile concert moves on to the Golden Pheasant pub.
Nelson Peach’s music is described as predominantly British traditional but with some, possibly surprising, exceptions.
They also perform traditional American material and the occasional acoustic version of a pop song.
To experience the music train catch the 19.04 train from Chester or from any station between Chester and Plumley.
Alight at Plumley station and walk the short distance to the Golden Pheasant pub where there is more music.
There is no charge for the event – just the price of an ordinary train ticket and any food and drink consumed – and a collection is taken for the musicians.
At the end of the evening everyone returns with the musicians on the 22.07 train from Plumley to Chester.
