THE Prime Minister has praised a Northwich organisation on its silver annniversary.
Sport Cheshire celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion Anne Boyd, its chief executive, was invited to a reception with David Cameron at 10 Downing Street.
Weaver Valley MP Graham Evans said: “I was delighted to welcome Anne to Number 10 to celebrate her contribution to the local community encouraging sport across the county.
“Sport Cheshire has been encouraging people across Cheshire to get active for 25 years so I was delighted to share this success story with the Prime Minister.
“I was also very pleased to honour Anne Boyd for her contributions as the Chief Executive for Sport Cheshire.
“I know the Prime Minister was very impressed by the fantastic work that has been done since 1989.”
