A LINEUP of authors, including the sister of a legend, are preparing to share their secrets in the second week of a Northwich festival.

John Lennon’s sister Julia Baird is among the guests taking part in Northwich LitFest throughout June.

The first event of the week will see bestselling non-fiction author Roy David speak at Cafe Terrazzo, in High Street, on Monday, June 9.

Tickets are free to hear him talk about his fiction debut An Enemy Within, which is a fast-paced gripping thriller that raises political and ethical issues surrounding war.

Julia Baird will appear at Davenham Theatre, in Church Street, Davenham, at 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 11.

After years of hearing so-called experts talking about her brother, Julia felt compelled to tell it how it was and wrote her book ‘Imagine This’ in an attempt to distinguish fantasy from reality and to establish an historic record for John, for herself and for her sister.

The film Nowhere Boy was partially based on Julia's book, and featured Sam Bell from Winsford as George Harrison.

Ticket for this event are £5 and copies of Julia’s book, a CD of her interview with Paul McCartney, as well as a Cavern Club Wall Poster will all be available for purchase at the end of the evening.

Writer and playwright Billy Nomates, otherwise known as Will Butters, will provide an evening of fun and laughter at Cafe Terrazzo at 7.30pm on Friday, June 13.
