Appeal after man exposes himself in train toilet

4:15pm Friday 23rd May 2014

SECURITY removed a man from a train in Hartford after he repeatedly exposed himself in the toilet.

British Transport Police officers have issued CCTV images of two people they want to speak to about the incident, which occurred on a train travelling from Liverpool Lime Street to Crewe.

At about 10.25pm on Saturday, March 15, a man went into the toilets of a London Midland train and dropped his trousers, without first closing the doors.

PC Gary Clarke said: “When a train security guard closed the toilet door, the man reopened it – exposing himself again to other passengers.

“The man was told to leave the train at Hartford station, but became abusive as he was ejected from the service.”

During the incident a woman became involved and verbally abused security staff, She was taken off the train by her friends at Winsford.

PC Clarke added: “The behaviour of both was totally unacceptable. Regardless of the outrageous exposure, the abuse levelled at the train guard and staff who were simply trying to protect the interests of other passengers was unwarranted.”

Officers have carried out extensive enquiries since the incident and have recently managed to isolate images of two people they want to speak to about the incident.

If you recognise either of the people, call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. In all calls quote log PSUB/B10 of 22/5/14.
