A SUPERMARKET is looking for a new charity to support in Northwich.
Sainsbury’s, in Venables Road, is appealing for customers to vote for who they think should win 12 months of fundraising.
Voting will take place between May 28 and June 8 and staff will draw up a shortlist of nominations, with their top three being invited into store to talk about how Sainsbury’s can help them.
The winner will be announced in July.
Northwich charities that have benefitted from the scheme in previous years include Northwich and District Youth Centre and St Wilfrid's Mini Vinnies Sensory Garden, with the partnership helping to get the garden started, planting and laying patios areas and gazebos for the children.
Steve King, Sainsbury’s Northwich store manager, said: “We’re looking forward to supporting a local charity which touches many of our customers’ and colleagues’ hearts.
“The scheme gives us the chance to make a real difference to important causes in the community and we hope our customers get behind this year’s voting stage and nominate their favourite local charity from May 28.”
Votes can be cast in store or by visiting sainsburys.co.uk/localcharity from May 28.
