POLICE in Cheshire are appealing for help from the public to trace a man they want to speak to about a string of burglaries that affected Northwich.
Officer would like to speak to 43-year-old Mark Fitton about offences committed across Cheshire and Lancashire.
Other towns affected are Alsager, Goostrey, Macclesfield, Knutsford, Tarvin and Nantwich.
Fitton, originally from the Oldham and Greater Manchester areas, has links to Northern Ireland.
He is described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall, of stocky build, with short black greying hair. He has blue eyes and is usually clean shaven.
He is not considered a risk to the public but police are keen to trace him as part of their investigation.
Detective Inspector Nigel Groom said: "I would urge anyone who has seen Mark Fitton, or knows of his recent or current whereabouts, to contact us on 101.
“Similarly, I make a personal appeal to Mark himself to come forward and present himself at his nearest police station."
Anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 and ask to speak to DC Dave Healy.
